Trauma Informed First Aid
Trauma Informed First Aid aims to support First Aiders and Bystanders who have experienced traumatic stress in an emergency to process their experiences and learn First Aid in a trauma-sensitive environment.
Trauma Informed First Aid offers:
- Post-traumatic wellbeing guidance and workshops, including Neurographic art
- Information on post-trauma follow-up interventions including peer support
- Guidance on trauma-informed training for First Aid and Mental health First Aid Trainers
- Development of bespoke courses for specific trauma-effected groups

We don’t get to choose when and where an emergency might happen or who else will be around to help when it does. It takes courage and tenacity to step forwards to help in an emergency, especially if you are struggling with past events or are unsure of your abilities as a First Aider. Having the training to back you up could make a lot of difference in an emergency.
